Good management of COVID-19 restrictions

There was a good display of how to manage COVID-19 restrictions at a sporting venue today when my family watched Exeter Chiefs Women play Sale Sharks Women at Sandy Park in Exeter.

We were met as we approached the entrance by one of the Stewards, who ran us through the set-up including the one way system to our seats, what was open in respect to refreshments and toilets and the organised departure routine. The seating was organised to provide adequate social distancing and during the game the Stewards were vigilant throughout, for example, reminding people to replace their masks after finishing their refreshments where necessary as well as their normal stewarding activities. The most important thing was that it was all done in a polite and friendly way and it worked very well.

This was a good example to ensure that everyone played their part with respect to the current restrictions, Exeter Chiefs are getting it right, not only on the pitch but also off it.
